It has come to our attention that your photo storage downtime conflicted with our monthly infrastructure maintenance. Due to this, we will be rescheduling your photo storage downtime from Tuesday, January 16th, to Monday, January 22nd. Please see updated window below.

As we previously communicated, we are changing how we are storing photos. This is your notice of your scheduled downtime, in which we will update your server to the new GUID method.

Please ensure that your vendors are aware of this change.

Update window

Start: January 22, 11:00 PM CT

End: January 23, 3:00 AM CT

Currently as photos are uploaded in the Paragon systems they are named in a way that dictates the order they are displayed in Paragon and Paragon Connect. ie….MLS#12345-A for the primary photo and -B -C etc… for subsequent photos. That will no longer be the case after your scheduled downtime.

Newly uploaded photos into the Paragon system will receive a Globally Unique Identifier (GUID) instead of the sequence number. This is being done to address concerns with photo storage that has led to infrequent, but persistent, reports of issues with photos when an agent makes multiple changes to the order.

In speaking with multiple RETS vendors over the last several weeks most do not rely on this legacy naming convention and they use other industry standard methods to determine order of photos on their sites but, in the abundance of caution, we are informing you of this change for you to communicate to your vendors.

There is detailed information in the document linked below that should be provided to your RETS vendors.

Sincerely,
