Do I have to bring in my lockboxes?
Yes. iBox BTs will be obsolete after the conversion is finished and not all agents will be able to open them, so if you want folks to continue being able to show your listings you need to bring in your lockboxes to swap out for the new ones. iBoxes (the short ones) are already obsolete.
Does it cost anything?
Nope. This is a 1 for 1 swap. You hand us an iBox BT registered to you (ie, you own it) and we hand you a brand new iBox BT LE.
Do I have to give up my ActiveKey?
No. ActiveKeys will continue to work and will be able to open the new boxes. However, this is a great opportunity to switch to the eKey on your smart phone which is both cheaper than the ActiveKey and gives you greater control over your lockboxes. Check out more information at www.suprakey.me
I can’t make my appointment time. What should I do?
Try. Please make every effort to come during your appointment. However, if you can’t it’s okay to swap with another agent.
I’m going to be out of town/on jury duty/abducted by aliens those days. Can I come another time?
Consider having another agent do the swap for you and provide them with written, signed authorization to do the swap for you. If needed, we will have limited appointments in the following weeks, but there will be a $5 fee per lockbox to handle the swap after the conversion appointments on 5/24 & 5/25
Why are you making us do this?
Supra provides a seven year warranty on lockboxes. The current lockbox system is nearly through that warranty period. Swapping boxes now will keep all lockboxes under warranty so that in the unusual event something goes wrong with a box it will likely be covered and replaced for free under warranty.
Also, the iBox BT LE does not need a fob to communicate with iPhones, so folks using an eKey on an iPhone will no longer need additional hardware, eliminating a cost and potential trouble spot for them.
